Full Plate Living

Full Plate Living is a nutrition program offered by the nonprofit Ardmore Institute of Health. The program teaches participants how to start eating a high-fiber diet—a delicious, scientifically proven approach that can lead to more energy, lower cholesterol, better blood sugar, and weight loss.

The program will begin Monday, September 18, from 5:00-6:00pm in the third floor breakroom of North Star Health Clinic, 100 River Street, in Springfield. The program will consist of eight classes that will meet every other Monday. Each class will address a specific topic of nutrition and health. We will have some fun, interactive classes as well where we will make healthy snacks, take a trip to the grocery store for a healthy food shop, healthy movement, and more.

This program will be taught by Christina Mas of North Star Health and Kristen Miller. Christina is a registered nurse with the Lifestyle Medicine Program at North Star Health, and Kristen is a clinical exercise physiologist and health coach for the Lifestyle Medicine Program and Director of Health and Wellness at the Edgar May Health and Recreation Center. Special guest speakers include Scott Durgin, MD, DiABLM, CPT, CES, and Adam Amelee, PsyD, DipACLM. Scott is the Lifestyle Medicine Director and Diplomate American Board of Lifestyle Medicine. Adam is the Director of Behavioral Health, and Co-Director of Lifestyle Medicine at North Star Health.

Please email Kristen Miller for more information or to register. Full Plate Living will be offered routinely, so if you're interested but cannot attend the upcoming series, email Kristen to be put on a mailing list for a future class.

THIS PROGRAM IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE COMMUNITY.
